Welcome! 

Before you dive into our blog, we wanted to introduce ourselves so you can get a better idea of who we are and a glimpse into our unique story.

We are JJ and Janelle, and from 2018-2020, we spent 15 months traveling around the world. During our journey, we traveled throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. To this day, we still try to spend as much extra time abroad as we can!

But, our journey didn’t start there. We knew our dream of extended travel would need planning… and more importantly, money. Plus, there was the whole issue of having jobs that didn’t give us much time off.

So we came up with a plan for how to leave our jobs and travel the world. We knew we had to pay off all of our student loan debt, build a savings, and free up our cash flow. 

38 countries and over 200 cities later – we have so many financial tips, travel recs, and stories to share from our journey to date that we decided to create our blog – to help others spend more extra time abroad too.

Throughout our travels, we learned A LOT. We developed different views and beliefs on society and the world around us. We’ve truly realized how lucky we are to be alive and how to be more kind to our beautiful planet. 

After learning more about the environment and witnessing first hand how others live throughout the world — we decided to adopt a more sustainable and low waste lifestyle. We plan to share our knowledge and passion to help educate others.

Fast forward to today, we recently started to hit the road again. But it’s not just the two of us anymore – our amazing son, Kieran, is now tagging along with us! (and sometimes our dog, Sonny, too!) Traveling with a baby is going to be different, but with proper planning and a bit more patience, we are excited for this new road ahead.
